NICTA ORG has developed a simulation model of the rail network around Port Botany in NSW. The terminal handles one third of Australia's container movements, but this must nearly double by 2020. Port Botany is one of Australia's largest ports and is located 15km south of Sydney's Harbour Bridge. It's often the recipient of blustery southerly winds which present some unique challenges to the dedicated workforce. This video was provided by Ben Wicks who is trying to stay dry and Terminal Manager at Port Botany, and was shot on 16 April 2013.

On Saturday the 1st of August, Steam Locomotive 6029 hauled a private charter, the Boyd Munro train from Thirlmere to Port Botany in the morning, and returned to Thirlmere in the afternoon. Garratt Steam Locomotive DC6029 is owned and operated by the Canberra Railway Museum and was hired for this tour. You meet some great people Kayak fishing. Unfortunately I do not remember this gentlemans name. But he caught a cracking Kingy trolling live squid around the Port Botany breakwall. Nice bloke gave me his last livey because he had to go to work.

On Thursday the 8th October Patrick officially opened the Sydney AutoStrad Terminal at Port Botany. We celebrated the official opening with guests from federal and state government, customers and suppliers.

A lot of people ask me about this rig .. so I have to go back to port botany to make this video ... it doesn't work always but .. nothing wrong having some extra balloons in your tackle box.. this rig can be used for king fish and dropping baits in deep hole with right wind and tide.Practice makes it perfect and hope you enjoy this video.. cheers
